We collaborated with forty teachers from different schools on the TLS Discovery Course, designed to be the first in a suite of courses.
The teachers were encouraged to use the context and place of their schools to develop imaginative projects that would engage and challenge their students. Reflections of the course outcomes were incredibly optimistic, with the teachers leaving inspired and motivated to implement project-based learning in their classrooms.Using place and context in the projects allowed the teachers to create relevant projects for their students and would foster a love of learning. In our mission to foster a deeper level of critical thinking skills, the enthusiastic response from educators is a testament to the effectiveness of challenge, place and project-based student-led learning.
