Discovery — Get Started with Project-Based Learning

Facilitated by expert educators with deep experience designing and adapting learning projects for students of all abilities and ages, The Discovery Course offers a deep-dive into the core principles of Project-Based Learning with lots of hands-on practice in project design, implementation, and assessment.

Includes a five-hour online introduction followed by four days of in-person immersion and hands-on activities in some of the most inspiring locations in the world. Participants can receive one credit through our partner universities.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Design learning targets
  • Connect projects to people, places, and current events
  • Mentor students as they develop learning portfolios
  • Assess and measure progress

Odyssey — Advanced Facilitation and Project Design Skills

Building off the essential knowledge, skills, and concepts from our Discovery Course, you’ll go deeper into the core tools and methodologies of Project-Based Learning while introducing new areas to focus on.

The Odyssey Course takes place over five days, including one day of online training followed by four days of in-person immersion and group collaboration. Participants can receive credit through our partner universities.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Engage students through active observation and coaching
  • Assist students in building a process portfolio
  • Make better evidence-based decisions around project direction and school strategy
  • Develop teacher-led projects specific to your unique location and student body

Deep Dive — Art and Science of Challenge-Based Learning

For teachers who have completed our Discovery and Odyssey Courses, Deep Dive Courses cover special topics in Project-Based Learning and give you over 100 cumulative hours of training.

You’ll have the opportunity to observe and co-facilitate a segment of a THINK Global School learning project in the field, as well as join THINK Learning Studio facilitator teams guiding other educators through their own Discovery Course journey.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Fine-tune learning targets and student assessments by developing a Table of Excellence
  • Re-design learning projects to serve different student populations and regions
  • Create your own Process Portfolio
